Why is it that all of the beautiful lullabies are really sick?
For e.g. Alouette, Ring around the rosie, rock a bye baby.

    Ring around the rosie
is about that black plague. it's about when they used to burn the dead bodies of those with the plague, so that no one else would get it. And they would but posies in the bodies pockets so it wouldnt smell so bad. As in

    Ring around the rosie
    pocket full of posies
    ashes ashes
    we all fall down

    Then Rock bye baby
Women used to hang the baby cradle from tree branches so the wind wold rock the baby to sleep. But they feared that if the branch broke, the cradle would fall and kill the baby.

    Rock a bye baby
    on the tree top
when the wind blows the cradle will rock
when the bough breaks the cradle will fall
and down will come baby, cradle and all

    See?

And the most sick of all

    Alouette

    In french:
    Alouette, gentille Alouette
    Alouette, je te plumerai
    Je te plumerai la tête
    (Je te plumerai la tête)
    Et la tête
    (Et la tête)
    Alouette
    (Alouette)
    O-o-o-oh
    Alouette, gentille Alouette
    Alouette, je te plumerai
    Je te plumerai le bec
    (Je te plumerai le bec)
    Et le bec
    (Et le bec)
    Et la tête
    (Et la tête)
    Alouette
    (Alouette)
    O-o-o-oh

    Et le cou
    Et le dos
    Et les ailes
    Et les pattes
    Et la queue
    Et la coeur
    Et les poumons
    Et la cerveau
    O-o-o-o-oh

    Alouette, gentille Aloutte
    Alouette,
    'Tu est un torse saignant

    ENGLISH

    Little skylark, lovely little skylark
Little lark, I will pluck your feathers off
I’ll pluck the feathers off your head
I’ll pluck the feathers off your head
Off your head - off your head
    Little lark, little lark
    O-o-o-o-oh

    Off your beak
    Off your neck
    Off your wings
    Off your back
    Off your legs
    Off your tail
    Skylark, nice skylark
    Skylark,
    You are a bloody torso

Um so basicly in the old days their job was to hunt and kill the bird by plucking it and they would sing this song to themselves to make themselves feel better about what they were doing, to calm themselves.

So does anyone notice how sick most lullabies are?
    Why is that?
    And what r ur opinions?

  2. Surprisingly, a majority of guitarists don't know how to read music or play notes but lots of them can sit down and strum song after song. Accurate chords
